Dr. Britta Becker has been head of the virology laboratory at Dr. Brill + Partner GmbH in Bremen since 2003. After training as a biological-chemical-technical assistant in 1988 and working at the Central Hospital Bremen-Nord from 1988 to 1992, she studied biology at the University of Bremen, graduating with a degree in biology in 1998. In the same year, she received a research scholarship from Glaxo Wellcome. In 2003, she earned her doctorate (Dr. rer. nat.) with a thesis on the diagnosis and replication of the hepatitis C virus.
